Hello!!! We are a seasonal ice cream shop and lake front that begins and ends with the summer months. Our 2017 season begins on May 13 and ends with August. We are driven to provide a fun and enjoyable place for all of Huron and our visitors. We are passionate about community partnerships to benefit other groups and business in Huron. We work hard to bring beauty to the area through flowers and an overall tidy look. While we are a seasonal business from May - Sept. ideas on how to provide more for our community are on our brain year round. The Putters and Scoops building is a small establishment built in the 1930's as a Bathhouse. Over the past 80 years, it served as a bathhouse, warming house, and a concession stand. In the past ten years, partnerships between private citizens and the City of Huron Park and Recreation board allowed improvements to be made. Both the island and the building have undergone major remodeling. We are now an ice cream shop who proudly serves locally made South Dakota State University Ice Cream. On the menu, you can also find sandwiches, salads, smoothies, fresh squeezed lemonade, 1919 tap root beer and more. Outside, your family can enjoy a round of miniature golf, paddleboats, kayaks and swimming. Come enjoy our facilities and introduce yourself to our staff! Hope to see you there this summer!
